Did you know?

Chronic kidney disease often develops gradually and may not show symptoms until kidney function is significantly reduced.

Understanding Chronic Kidney Disease

Chronic kidney disease is a progressive condition where the kidneys lose their ability to filter waste and regulate fluids over time. This decline can lead to a buildup of toxins, fluid imbalances, and changes in blood pressure. The most common causes include diabetes, high blood pressure, and certain genetic or autoimmune disorders. As kidney function decreases, the risk of complications such as anemia, bone disorders, and cardiovascular issues increases.

Triggers for chronic kidney disease often include uncontrolled blood sugar or blood pressure, frequent kidney infections, or inherited conditions. Managing the condition involves regular monitoring, dietary adjustments, and sometimes medications to control symptoms and slow progression. Early intervention and lifestyle changes can help maintain kidney function for longer. Supportive therapies, including hydration and nutrient support, may also play a role in overall wellness.

Symptoms of Chronic Kidney Disease

Fatigue is a frequent complaint among those with chronic kidney disease, often resulting from anemia or toxin buildup. Swelling in the legs, ankles, or around the eyes can occur as the kidneys struggle to manage fluid balance. Muscle cramps and weakness are also common, especially if electrolyte levels become imbalanced. Changes in urination patterns, such as increased frequency or foamy urine, may signal declining kidney function.

Nausea and loss of appetite can develop as waste products accumulate in the body. Some people experience difficulty concentrating or mental fog due to the effects of toxins on the brain. Itching and dry skin may occur when minerals build up in the bloodstream. Persistent high blood pressure is both a cause and a symptom of kidney disease progression.

In advanced stages, shortness of breath and chest discomfort may arise from fluid overload or anemia. Bone pain and increased risk of fractures can result from imbalances in calcium and phosphorus. Immune function may be weakened, making infections more likely. These symptoms can vary in severity and may worsen as kidney function declines.

Call Us Today!

Clients of various ages receive supportive IV therapy to help manage symptoms of chronic kidney disease.

Traditional Treatments

Standard treatment for chronic kidney disease focuses on slowing disease progression and managing complications. This often includes controlling blood pressure and blood sugar, adjusting diet to limit protein, sodium, potassium, and phosphorus, and using medications to address symptoms such as anemia or bone health. Regular monitoring of kidney function and electrolyte levels is essential to guide therapy and prevent further decline.

In more advanced stages, dialysis or kidney transplantation may become necessary to replace lost kidney function. Supportive care, such as managing fluid intake and treating underlying conditions, remains important throughout all stages. Lifestyle changes, including exercise and avoiding certain medications, can help protect remaining kidney function. Collaboration between patients and healthcare providers ensures a comprehensive approach to care.

I was recommended to come here from my NP. I had severe dehydration and other ailments. I spoke with Alyssa on the phone on the way there and she had me booked in and ready within 20 minutes. Which for anything medical that's fast. I was told upfront about the service rendered as well as prices. We both agreed the full bag was beneficial as I was about to leave on vacation and needed all the help I could get. Alyssa suggested a few more things to add to my Restoration bag. As I sat in the sauna getting my WebMD meeting completed, Maggie came in and explained all the next steps and made sure I was comfortable. She then got the IV in and I was ready to go. Very painless. I am a Red Cross donor and very frequently donate blood. Maggie has a very soft touch when hitting the vein. The bag took roughly 45 to 55 mins to complete. Very great experience. And if I ever feel bad again from this TX heat I know where to go. 10/10 would recommend.

I was feeling so rundown and feeling like I was starting to come on sick And the ladies at DRIP BAR Burleson were so kind and helped me find out what drip would be right for me. They put me in the salt sauna which was 10 out of 10. Cannot recommend that enough and got me my perfect drip which was the restoration one I believe and I left there feeling better already. Over the past couple of days, I can definitely tell a difference and I will definitely be a repeat customer. Cannot recommend all of the ladies there enough they make you feel so comfortable and also stick you perfect on the 1st try! Because let’s be honest, there’s nothing worse than somebody who cannot do an IV and all the ladies there are 10/10 for that. If you’re feeling rundown, hungover, or feeling like you’re about to start becoming sick, go see the girls at DRIP BAR Burleson. Thank you girls!

I came here after I went on a vacation and got sick from the travel and exposure to a wildfire. I felt so very taken care of and the allergy package I got really helped me finish the healing process faster. I really felt taken care of and being checked in on after treatment just added to that experience. Definitely recommend.
