Long COVID symptoms can persist for weeks or months and may affect multiple organ systems.

Understanding Long COVID Recovery

Long COVID, also known as post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection, refers to symptoms that last or return after the initial COVID-19 illness has resolved. These symptoms can impact energy, mental clarity, and overall function, often making daily activities more challenging. The underlying causes are still being studied, but may involve ongoing inflammation, immune system changes, or lingering viral effects. Many people seek ways to manage these symptoms and support their recovery.

Common triggers for symptom flare-ups include physical or mental stress, lack of rest, and other illnesses. Managing Long COVID often involves a combination of medical care, lifestyle adjustments, and supportive therapies. Setting realistic goals and pacing activities can help prevent setbacks. Integrative strategies, such as nutrient support and hydration, are increasingly used alongside conventional care to address persistent symptoms.

Common Symptoms of Long Covid

Many people with Long COVID experience persistent fatigue, which can make even simple tasks feel exhausting. Brain fog is also common, leading to trouble with memory, focus, or processing information. These symptoms may come and go, sometimes triggered by physical or emotional stress.

Shortness of breath, muscle aches, and chest discomfort are frequently reported, even in those who had mild initial infections. Some individuals notice heart palpitations, lingering cough, or sleep disturbances that disrupt their routines. These symptoms can vary in intensity and may affect different body systems over time.

Other possible symptoms include anxiety, depression, digestive issues, and changes in taste or smell. Fluctuations in symptom severity are typical, with some days feeling better than others. Recognizing these patterns can help guide self-care and recovery planning. Ongoing support is important for managing the unpredictable nature of Long COVID.

Traditional Treatments

Traditional care for Long COVID focuses on managing symptoms and supporting gradual recovery. This may include physical therapy, respiratory exercises, and medications to address specific issues like pain, sleep disturbances, or anxiety. Many people also benefit from counseling or support groups to help cope with the emotional impact of lingering symptoms.

Healthcare providers often recommend pacing activities, prioritizing rest, and monitoring for changes in symptoms. Nutritional support and hydration are important for overall wellness. While research is ongoing, some individuals explore integrative therapies to complement standard care and address persistent fatigue or cognitive changes.

How IV Therapy May Help

Imagine someone who is struggling with ongoing fatigue and brain fog after recovering from COVID-19, looking for ways to feel more like themselves again. I was recommended to come here from my NP. I had severe dehydration and other ailments. I spoke with Alyssa on the phone on the way there and she had me booked in and ready within 20 minutes. Which for anything medical that's fast. I was told upfront about the service rendered as well as prices. We both agreed the full bag was beneficial as I was about to leave on vacation and needed all the help I could get. Alyssa suggested a few more things to add to my Restoration bag. As I sat in the sauna getting my WebMD meeting completed, Maggie came in and explained all the next steps and made sure I was comfortable. She then got the IV in and I was ready to go. Very painless. I am a Red Cross donor and very frequently donate blood. Maggie has a very soft touch when hitting the vein. The bag took roughly 45 to 55 mins to complete. Very great experience. And if I ever feel bad again from this TX heat I know where to go. 10/10 would recommend.

I was feeling so rundown and feeling like I was starting to come on sick And the ladies at DRIP BAR Burleson were so kind and helped me find out what drip would be right for me. They put me in the salt sauna which was 10 out of 10. Cannot recommend that enough and got me my perfect drip which was the restoration one I believe and I left there feeling better already. Over the past couple of days, I can definitely tell a difference and I will definitely be a repeat customer. Cannot recommend all of the ladies there enough they make you feel so comfortable and also stick you perfect on the 1st try! Because let’s be honest, there’s nothing worse than somebody who cannot do an IV and all the ladies there are 10/10 for that. If you’re feeling rundown, hungover, or feeling like you’re about to start becoming sick, go see the girls at DRIP BAR Burleson. Thank you girls!

I came here after I went on a vacation and got sick from the travel and exposure to a wildfire. I felt so very taken care of and the allergy package I got really helped me finish the healing process faster. I really felt taken care of and being checked in on after treatment just added to that experience. Definitely recommend.
